BORMIOLI ROCCO
leading the way with state-of-the-art glassware
Bormioli Rocco’s first glassware factory dates back to 1825, but historians say the origins of Bormioli Rocco glass can be traced to the Middle Ages. With stemware, tumblers, beer glasses and iconic food storage jars gracing tables around the world, quality is the cornerstone of the foundation supporting the Bormioli Rocco brand. The manufacturing facilities utilise state of the art technology and economically source only the best raw materials. From the finest sand imported from Germany to organic glazes used to colour glass, all are brought together in products influenced by exhaustive design research. Thanks to continuing investment in technology, research and design, Bormioli Rocco has become one of the leading glass manufacturers in the world.
TEMPERED GLASS – For over 50 years Bormioli Rocco has created and manufactured a wide range of products in tempered glass characterized by exceptional durability and functionality. The high quality of the products can satisfy consumers and the most demanding catering professionals. The tempering process consists of subjecting the glass to a heat shock (the product is rapidly cooled from a temperature of about 600°). This sudden change in temperature allows the molecules to join, providing the glass with an incredible strength, which is the foundation of our global success.
The hardening process is altered neither in time nor when subjected to frequent washings in the dishwasher. Bormioli Rocco is the only one to propose an offer of glasses with stretched hardened shaft and reinforced brim; a winning mix between resistance to the use and elegance of the forms where technical plusses and design convince, satisfying all service requirements.
