All wines have unique organoleptic properties and need to be served in a suitable glass, in order to maximise its individual characteristics. The shape and dimension of each Vinoteque glass has been scientifically developed to balance and enhance these characteristics. The different shapes of the bowls have been expertly designed to:
• guide aromatic molecules, with the correct level of concentration and balance, towards the nose
• improve the perception of aromatic balance in the head space
• guide wine, at an appropriate flow, towards specific areas of the tongue
• enable easy rotation of wine in the glass
• provide perfect contact between the lower lip and the rim of the bowl

Glassware made with SON.hyx crystal has up to 105% increase in resistance to mechanical shocks and up to 37.5% increase in rim strength. With a 98% increase in resistance to breakage through twisting at the stem during hand cloth drying.
After 4,000 commercial dishwasher cycles SON.hyx crystal glassware retains all its original properties.
Nucleated Glass
These glasses contain “scratches” at the bottom which provide a nucleation site for all the bubbles, helping to maintain the carbonation in your beer for a much longer time.
This means that bubbles continuously rise up to the surface of the glass, carrying with them the aromas trapped inside your brew, and break straight to your nose. Thus, nucleated glassware provides a superior olfactory experience.
